Old Loughtonians 1
Chelmsford 1
(SEHL Premier Division) OLD Loughtonians ladies dropped valuable points in their fight for Premier division survival after a 1-1 draw with rivals Chelmsford.
Loughts continued to play with the same form and composure that has epitomised the second half of their season, although it was Chelmsford who scored first on 34 minutes when Tracy Willmore converted a penalty corner for the visitors.
The hosts soon replied when Gwen Smith slotted home a penalty corner to even the scores.
Despite Loughts striving to score the additional goal, the deadlock remained until the end of the match which saw the points shared.
Winning against second from bottom Poynton on March 29 is essential if Loughts are to stand any chance of survival for next season.
