THE CREAM of young Essex golfers saw off an experienced adult team.
The Essex U14s boys took to the course against the Rochford Hundred Leslie Wood Team recently.
The squad included Tom Kisby, from Nazing, and Chigwell-based Patrick Amoroso, who both secured wins in the youngsters 8-4 victory.
Meanwhile, Daisy Dyer produced a winning performance for the Essex Ladies in a foursomes game against the men's section.
The Chigwell-based youngster beat Martin Blake two up.
In the same match West Essex's Lizzie Taylor lost out three and one in her match against Dale Whitnell.
Earlier this month, a select Essex squad went on a warm weather training trip to Spain.
West Essex's Jack Heasman and Harry Eden both secured maximum points in their singles matches to help the U16s and U18s secure respective wins over their Dorset counterparts.
