Southend 1
Crostyx 3
(NE14HOCKEY East Div 1S) A JO Hill hat-trick inspired Crostyx ladies to a confidence-boosting last-day victory at Southend.
Her first was a bullet shot into the back of the goal to open the scoring.
And, after Southend had forced an equaliser, she restored the lead from a setpiece struck through from Vicki Berill.
Hill completed her treble with her 23rd goal of the season late in the match.
The result sees Crostyx finish in fourth place and the season on a high.
They will now be focussing on trying to turn draws - they've had nine in the season, more than any club in the East ladies leagues - into wins next season.
