(Ryman One North) WALTHAM FOREST boss Ged Searson has called for a little more Jekyll and a little less Hyde in the team's fight for survival after his side showed signs of both in their defeat to title-chasing Sudbury.
The Stags succumbed to their third successive 1-0 defeat in the Ryman Division One North on Saturday and finished the game with ten men after Yaw Boeteng saw red.
But Searson (pictured) was encouraged by his side's dominating performance against superior opposition, and insists that they will have no problems in maintaining their league status if they continue in the same vein.
"If we play like that for the rest of the season we will be fine," he said.
"It's a real dogfight down there now, but survival is in our own hands.
"We haven't looked like scoring in our last few games, but on Saturday we did everything but score.
"We didn't give much away at all and we restricted them to just two chances in the whole game, one of which they scored."
Indeed, Sudbury have goalkeeper Dean Neill to thank for keeping their title hopes alive as Forest took the game to the hosts.
Despite finding themselves behind through an early Gareth Heath goal, the Stags laid siege to the Sudbury goal in the second half with Neill brilliantly denying Marcel Jones and Thomas Howell.
Forest travel to Witham Town on Saturday.
