LEYTONSTONE-born Colin Kazim-Richards went from zero to hero as his goal set Fenerbahce on the way to an impressive 2-1 Champions League win over Chelsea.
The 21-year-old striker (pictured) has had a patchy goalscoring history, having managed just nine goals in 100 games for former clubs Bury, Brighton and Sheffield United.
He had also failed to score for Fenerbahce since joining in June last year.
However, he climbed off the bench last night to grab his side's equaliser in the quarter final, first leg clash at the Sukru Saracoglu stadium.
Chelsea had taken a 13th minute lead when Deivid diverted Florent Malouda's cross into his own net, while Michael Essien also hit the crossbar in a first half dominated by the Blues.
But the Turkish side levelled on 64 minutes when Kazim-Richards lashed home Mehmet Aurelio's pass.
And Deivid made up for his earlier error by hitting a corking 30-yard drive into the top corner with ten minutes to play.
The second leg is to be played at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.
