AC MILAN have sensationally lined up Arsene Wenger as their new boss, according to reports from Italy.
National daily Il Giorno is suggesting that Carlo Ancelotti's reign at the San Siro could be up after the team endured yet another poor start to the season.
And the Milan-based newspaper claims that the Serie A club have been eyeing a numer of replacements - with Arsenal chief Wenger top of their mangerial shortlist.
Former Milan stars Marco Van Basten and Frank Rijkaard are also thought to be amongst the favourites.
It is believed that the Rossoneri are keen to bring in a fresh approach and a more youthful side, and have identified Wenger's talent at working with youngsters as a key factor.
Meanwhile, Il Giorno has also reported that an agent working on behalf of Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti made an attempt to hire Wenger in 2005 before appointing Roberto Mancini.
It is believed the same agent is now making enquiries over the Frenchman's availability.
