Royals 10 v Senrab 'B' 0
League Cup Quarter Final 'C' Division U13
An injury to Colebrook's keeper Tyler got the team's day off to a bad start, with Attoe standing in.
Royals started the better with some early chances going to Roult. Senrab came close but with some saves from Attoe and clearances from Gosnell & Chikte, it was going to be tough game.
Royals open the scoring by going 1-0 up thanks to great link up play from Cushion and for Gender to score, from where he left off, from last year.
Second half it was all Royals, must have been something the Manager said, as it was soon 2- 0 with Puncher putting his effort into the net. Soon it was 3-0 this time Roult getting on the score sheet with great play from Redhead. Within minutes it was 4-0 with Puncher scoring to get his brace.
The back of Chikte, Gosnell & Baldwin had very little to do but keep warm. Redhead with one of his long throws into the box (watch out Delap) to the feet of Roult, allowed him to score his brace with a fine effort to make it 5-0.
With the centre of midfield being in control it was only a matter of time before Roult completed his hat-trick, it was now 6-0.
Then it was 7-0 with Cushion collecting a pass from Armitage. With Royals well on top now and with the threat of more goals, it was Puncher who got his Hat trick to make it 8-0.
With five minutes to go it was 9-0, Roult who got his fourth. Puncher could not be out done so he collect his fourth too to make it 10 - 0. So the stand in keeper, Attoe keeps a clean sheet, so Tyler watch out and the back assisting in this, it was a very good one sided game.
Team: Attoe, Gosnell, Redhead, Armitage, Chikte, Gender, Cushion, Baldwin, Norris, Roult, Fuller, Hainsby, Puncher
Colebrook Royals 'C' 4
Westward Boys 'B' 1
(League Tyne Division U10)
With a draw last week, Royals needed to get a result for the New Year. Royals started well with Hellen and Cramer both going close. Redhead was controlling the right side while Attoe and Laycock where commanding at the back.
It was only a matter of time before Royals scored, and Redhead linked up with Attoe to open the scoring with a dribble past three players to smash in the top corner (1-0).
Hosier did not have much to do in the first half thanks to some great defending, but his distributing was very good. Second half and it was all Royals going up the hill with Cramer making some lovely runs out on the left and Hellen playing off him.
It was soon 2-0 with Cramer having a shot of which the keeper parried to the feet of Hellen to tap in.
With Attoe spreading the ball from the back and Laycock coming forward for the corners it was all pressure from Royals, Laycock passes to Hellen only to fouled in the box and the Referee had to blow for a penalty.
Up steps Jordan, beaming with confidence to drill it past the diving keeper, 3-0. Cramer was a consent threat to the away team and with a neat pass to Chambers making it 4-0. With tired legs on heavy pitch, Westward boys managed to get past Hosier to make the final the score 4-1.
