Hill were drawn away to fellow Premiership side Tigers in a game that had a quarter final at stake.
Tigers started the brighter and caught Hill on the break with Captain and keeper Michael Corderoy diving bravely at the Tigers strikers feet to deny them an early lead.
Tigers kept winning the ball after poor clearances from Hill and were always looking more likely to score.
Hill started to get back into the game in the last five minutes of the half and a great cross from Ryan Mooney was met at the back post by Arun Olivelle whose mishit shot spooned into the air and fell into the path of Darryl Wantaate, and he rifled it in the bottom corner to lead 1-0 at the break.
Hill started the second half much brighter and the game became a midfield battle. Tigers though started to push for the equaliser and Mom Cameron Weekes won many tackles to deny them. Tigers then got the goal which they deserved but it came in a controversial way as they were awarded a highly disputable penalty.
The game looked as if was going to penalties when Oliver Williams made a great run down the wing beat his man and whipped in a hard cross which Tigers put out for a corner. Darryl Wantaate curled it over near post and the Tigers keeper was unlucky as the swerve of the ball deceived him and it spun off him into the net.
Hill progressed into the next round but credit to Tigers who deserved something out of the game.
