Woodford Youth D 1
Harold Hill 1
1-2 on penalties
Under 10s Echo Cup
Harold Hill outplayed the Foxes during the first half and took a deserved lead after a goalmouth melee saw the ball rebound in off goalkeeper Lewis-Green.
Mason replaced Papamichael, but Woodford were unable to score and the half ended 0-1. A much improved second half performance from Woodford, in which a nice move saw Mackenzie finish well to bring parity.
The boys in orange were looking for the winner but the Hill goalkeeper had other ideas, making several outstanding saves.
Resolute defending by both teams was followed by a tense, and pretty dreadful, penalty shoot out which ended with the visitors victorious.
UPR A 4
Woodford Youth B 0
Under 8s Echo Friendly
Clinical UPR finishing and umpteen missed opportunoties from the Foxes sums this game up.
Woodford generally sat deep and defended, hitting UPR on the counter attack. The Foxes missed an opportunity to open the scoring when Ellis played a ball across the open goal, but nobody could latch on to it.
UPR scored just before the break. Shortly after the kick-off a clearance kick went to a UPR player, who scored. Then in pushing forward, the Foxes left MOM Hepworth to deal with a three players, whose good connecting play took them past him and on to a good goal.
The Foxes attacked incessantly, enjoying many good efforts on goal, particularly from Ellis, but without finding the back of the net.
UPR's fourth came when Woodford patted the ball into path of a UPR striker who hit the target.
Colebrook Royals B 3
Woodford Youth C 2
Under 11s Echo League
A good game played by two attractive sides.
Colebrook got their first goal, following a mix-up in the box. Further chances were created at both ends, with Woodford slightly on top, but the half ended 1-0.
Following the break, Woodford struck first in the second half with a superb finish by Walker.
Colebrook came back strongly scoring their second goal of the game and their third shortly after. Following some good perssure by Kagona, Woodford forced an O.G. from the Royals for 3-2.
The Foxes continued to push forward but time ran out for the boys in orange to get back on level terms.
Joint MOM Edelman and Orme.
Woodford Youth A 1
Senrab A 2
Under 8s Echo Friendly
The first half was pretty even but with no real shots on goal.
A muddy pitch resulted in a scrappy run of play before the deadlock was broken, an attempted clearance resulted in an unfortunate own goal.
In searching for an equaliser the defence was again caught short and Senrab extended their lead with a neat shot.
Woodford grabbed one back from a great strike from Swan on the edge of the area. MOM Thomas.
