Newbury Forest 0
Soccer Skills 2 (Echo League, under 10s)
IN terribly windy conditions, Soccer Skills' slick football was too much for a dogged Newbury Forest team.
The visitors settled the better and Reece Holman nearly put them ahead early on but his header just went wide. However Matthew Teh soon opened the scoring when his speculative shot was misread by the goalkeeper. Soon after, it was two nil when, man-of-the-match, Harry Richardson swept in after a fine move.
Joseph Tobias, Matt Claydon and Massimo Ruffini defended resolutely and with Bertie Parker and Marco Ruffini kept the home side quiet until the final minute when Danny Brett pulled off of a fantastic save to deny the home side a consolation.
