Redbridge Ladies South (U12s) 0
Redbridge Ladies North (U12s) 4
THE first half of this most local of derbies was a tense and hard fought affair but gradually North started to gain control.
Mid-way through the half they deservedly took the lead when Chadha rifled a great shot into the roof of the net for her first goal for Redbridge.
A few minutes later the ball again broke to Chadha in the penalty area and she made no mistake to put North two up. South pressed forward to try and pull a goal back and looked set to score but James got back to make a superb tackle. The importance of that tackle was shown on the stroke of half time when Ahmet held off a strong challenge to put North 3-0 up.
The second half started with South, now playing with a strong wind at their back, determined to get back into the game. The North defence held firm though with St.Croix, James, and Stephenson all making vital tackles.
Then in the last minute Pambami, whose passing was outstanding throughout, found Ahmet who rounded off a convincing North performance with the forth goal.
