SWIMMERS from London Borough of Redbridge competed at two top class long course meets last weekend.
Dean Smith competed in Stockport and achieved two national qualifying times. He achieved 59 secs for the 100 fly and 25 secs for the 50 free. Dean also achieved best times in the 100 free, 200IM and 100 back.
At Crawley, Georgia Hunton Clarke achieved a NQT in the 100 back 66.59 and missed the 50 back (31.8) and 200 back NQT s(2.23.2) by 0.4 secs. But all events were PBs.
Both Dean and Georgia now join their 6 other team mates who have qualified for the National Champs so far!
Charlie Dentith continued to show class by achieving more NQTs. He set a 6 sec PB in the 200IM (2.22) to achieve another NQT, a 5 sec PB in the 400 free (NQT), 9 sec PB 800FC (NQT).
Charlie was only 2/100ths outside his 200 time and 1.5 secs outside of the 400 time.
Phoebe Hayes swam her first long course 800fr and finished 1 sec inside her NQT. In the 200 & 400 free, Phoebe swam just outside of her PBs but still inside of NQTs.
Chris Stamp, having just returned from illness, swam a PB in the 50 free (26.6) and another PB in the 100 free (57.9). Chris also swam well in the 100 fly, just outside of his best.
Ben Hollis was just outside of the NQT in the 200 fly, but equalled his PB. He also set a PB in the 100 free (57.6).
Tom Beadle showed his potential with some very good performances. He set a 6 sec PB in the 200 Free (2.17) and a 1 sec PB in the 100 free. He also set long course PBs in the 400IM, 200IM and 100 fly, 200 back and 200 fly and 50 free.
Anna Keble set a 1 sec PB in the 50 free (30.2) and equalled her PB in the 100 event. Emily Cole swam well achieving times just outside of her PB in the 100 & 200 free.
Grace Wingrove had a great weekend setting PBs in the 100 BR (1.33), 200IM (2.52) and 100 back (1.21) Grace was just outside of her best I the 200 BR, 200 FC.
Hayley Golightly swam a lifetime best in the 200IM an d equalled her PB in the 100 breast
Lawrence Brown swam very well, achieving a 2 sec PB in the 100 back (1.12), a PB in the 200 Back and a PB in the 100 free. Lawrence also equalled his best times in the 200 & 400 free.
Ellie Bedwell, swam to a 1 sec PB in the 200 Free (2.18) and equalled her best time in the 50 and 100 back.
Craig Moate swam a good 400 free in preparation for the British Disability championships next month.
