IT WAS like cup-tie football as Loughton and Sungate battled it out in this end to end game.
Loughton attacked on the left wing and lofted a shot over the Sungate keeper. Sungate equalised when Robert Garvan passed through for Jake Indome to score.
In the second half, Sungate hit a purple patch when Luke Finney headed home a cross from Harry Culham.
Benson Simbule made it 3-1 with a goal snatch from the Loughton keeper's hands. Sungate went 4-1 ahead when Alex Poyot scrambled home from close range. But Loughton fought back and scored a fine goal from the left wing.
Sungate had to rely on some last ditch tackling from Danny Hare and Paul Bryans and a finger tip save from Reece Powell to keep Loughton at bay.
