ALAN Brown won the 2009 Burdick Putter event last Sunday, held in glorious conditions at Ilford Golf Club.
Alan, playing with a handicap of 19, shot a net 60 to win the event and earned a 2 shot handicap cut in the process. Matthew Pinner won the Division 1 title with a net 63 beating Michael McPherson on countback. Runner up in Division 2 was James Hagger with a net 64.
Stuart Curran won a charity day event last week held at Littlestone Golf Club in Kent with 42 points.
Stuart, representing Ilford Golf Club, held off a very large field to win the day whilst playing on a links course with high winds.
Ilford Golf Club are having an Open Day on Saturday 10th May and are inviting everyone to come and join the fun day. 9 holes of golf are absolutely free with a nominal charge to play the full 18 holes with free refreshments on course.
