ORION Harriers' Lauren MacGregor, 15, made it two wins from two when she won the second race in the Harlow Womens 5K Road Race Series on Tuesday evening.
Her personal best time of 19:22 was enough to beat a field of 70 senior women.
Lauren went out fast from the start and moved further away from the field as the race progressed, building up a 40 seconds lead by the finish to win comfortably from experienced Garden City runner Mandy Livingstone, who was second in 20:04.
Orion's other 15-year-old runner Jay Andrews was third in 20:39, well clear of the fourth placed runner Dionne Jones of Harlow 21:25.
Orion's Katy Brett was running her first race of the series and finished 11th in 22:33.
This race was the second of the three race series and overall Lauren leads the points table with two wins (two points) and Jay is second with a runner-up and a third place (five points). The final race takes place on Tuesday 2nd June.
