CENTRAL BC endured a disappointing week crashing out of the County Double "Fours" Competition in the third round and then losing by a single shot to two opponents.
Near rivals Woodford BC won home and away rinks to leave Central despondent but the club's B team could get revenge as they will meet Woodford in the next round.
Central also struggled against a weakened Ilford BC scraping home by one shot in a 39-38 victory with both teams taking a rink a-piece in the Redbridge Afternoon League fixture.
Cranbrook Park BC piled on the misery for Central in the Ilford & District League by also winning by single shot in 57-56 victory, with both teams winning one rink a-piece with the third drawn.
The Wanstead-based club did only slightly better against Hainault BC when they won by a 38-35 shot victory in the Group 5 Unbadged Double "Fours", winning and losing a rink.
But things took a turn for the better for Central when they overcame Chingford BC by 52-38 shot victory in a Clark White league game. Central won and draw a rink.
However, it was the Central's ladies team which performed the best when they defeated the much fancied Buckhurst Hill Ladies BC by three rinks to one in the National "Top Club" Competition.
