WEST ESSEX golfer Geoff King claimed his second Essex Senior Championship title following a stunning weekend of golf at Chelmsford Golf Club.
King, pictured, rolled back the years to produce a masterful second round that propelled him to the top of the leaderboard, marking his second reign as county champion.
He didn’t have it all his own way, however, as he found himself six shots off the lead after an eight over par first round of 76.
Chigwell’s Michael Snapes was the early leader after the dust had settled on the first day, but King reeled him and the rest of the leading pack in on the second and final day.
He finished the tournament three shots clear of his nearest rival, matching the achievement he managed two years ago, ending with a gross total of 147.
