Valance United 1 - Wadham 6
(U11's B Division)
Report by Andrew N
Wadham Under 11's got off to a great start to the season with a 6-1 win over Valance. Their first competitive eleven a-side game started with Wadham taking control with some superb passing setting up Billy G to score his 1st goal of the season. D'Jovan C then added 2 more goals given Wadham a 3-0 advantage at half time.
Manager Andrew was very impressed with the back four for holding their ground in defence not letting Valance get through. The second half started with Wadham gifting Valance with a penalty kick making it 3-1.
One of Wadham's new signings Charlie N added another goal with a beautiful left foot strike beating Valance keeper at the far post. D'Jovan C added another giving him his 1st hat-trick of the season. The final goal came from Cardell F-N running through the defence and putting it pass the Valance keeper.
Man of the match goes to Daniel M who played outstanding throughout the game. Well done to all the boys for a good start to the season.
Wadham 8 UPR D 0
(U10's Echo League Mersey Division)
Report by Gerry L
Wadham under 10's B team got off to a flying start with an 8 - 0 win over UPR D at Wadham Lodge on Sunday. It was Wadham’s first season together as a team and they started a little nervously. Some good play from Reuben H and Ryan S from the midfield allowed Ben L to collect the ball in the middle of the pitch and he was able to beat the last two defenders before rifling the ball into the top left hand corner from a left foot shot.
The die was cast from this moment and Wadham went on gaining more and more confidence as the game went on. The second goal was headed in By Reuben from a Ben L corner. By this time Wadham had most of the possession and 6 more goals followed with Ben getting 4 more goals and the others scored by Taye E, and Ryan S.
The clean sheet was kept due to the outstanding goal keeping of Kain B and the tireless defending of Ismail C, Archie B and Tiago T who came on in the second half to relieve Archie.

Dagenham Utd 2 Wadham 2
(U14's Echo League C Division)
Report by R Hudson
A good competitive game ended in a draw and because of the windy conditions Wadham just edged it in the first half having taken the lead as Man of the Match Cameron F-N slid home after a low cross from Jack C.
Other opportunities went to Jack S cross shot that went just wide then Jack C also shot wide.
Against the run of play Dagenham equalised but just before half time Jack C rose above everybody to meet a Jack S corner to go in 2-1.
The wind picked up as the game progressed but keeper Joe C remained untroubled as the Wadham defence kept the home side at bay thanks to debut Naill J-H, Srinivass B, James D and Thomas H.
As the ball kept coming back into the Wadham half, Dagenham pressure paid off as they drew level thanks to a long through ball finished in style.
After that chances were few and far between although Jamie G nearly won it at the end for Wadham.
Wadham 1 Leaside Colts 3
(U9's Echo League Kent Division)
A very close encounter in the first half with little and no goals to separate the teams.
In the second half Wadham Brandon Z opened the scoring with his first competive goal for the home side but Leaside soon equalised and went on with further goals as they finished the game the stronger side.
Good performances from Man of the Match Conor M, Thomas H playing his first game for Wadham and Keeper Matthew M were the highlights of the day.
