Wanstead RFC U7-U12 made their way to Thurrock on Sunday for their first festival of the season along with nine other clubs ranging from Braintree to Heathfield in Sussex.
Wanstead’s U7’s had the most success being overall winners of their age group.
Unfortunately due to non-availabilities the team were unable to fill the U8’s slot.
U9’s managed some heroic performances, with all the players showing that they have been taking notice of their coaches at training, making their way to the Bowl Final where they were Runners-Up to Thurrock.
U10’s were Runners-Up in their Shield Final and the U11’s won the Plate Final.
The U12’s merged with Thames RFC to make up a side that made it to the Shield Final where they were Runners-Up.
Overall a very enjoyable days at a well run festival.
