SNARESBROOK Youth’s under-21s booked their place in the semi-finals of the Essex Junior Trophy with a 4-2 win over Byair U21s.
Elliot Boakye converted after just 30 seconds and it was 2-0 when Drew Barbier netted. Boakye added another and Robert Caine scored the fourth before Byair found two consolation goals.
Redbridge Ladies thumped Sporting 77 10-3 in the U15s Essex County Girls Football League, thanks to a ruthless attacking display.
Elsewhere, Waltham Abbey U13s blasted seven goals past Ryan U13s in their Cheshunt Youth League encounter. Ashley Hollaway, captain Kyle Sprigg and Liam Web-Pinnock all netted in the first half. Sprigg scored twice more for his hat-trick, while another from Hollaway and a Denzil Mlambo strike ended the rout.
Meanwhile, Woodford Minis rugby teams took on Stanford Le Hope. The U7s reds team drew but the blues won. The U8s green, red and blue teams all enjoyed victories, while the U11s won their double-header. The U12s also impressed.
