LOUGHTON-born striker Gary Hooper is on the verge of completing a reported £2.4million move to Scottish giants Celtic.
The Guardian Series can reveal the Scunthorpe striker has agreed to join Celtic, subject to a medical, after a prolific couple of seasons at Glanford Park.
Hooper, who hails from Loughton, has scored 50 goals for Scunthorpe since he joined in 2008, at an average of more than a goal every other game.
The 22-year-old striker had been attracting plenty of admiring glances from further up the football pyramid but it appears he is set to move north of the border with Celtic.
