The under-strength men’s team of Woodford Green and Essex Ladies finished in an impressive third place at the latest Premiership contest in Eton.
Tim Abeyie was second in the 100m, with his time of 10.43sec. He went one better in the 200m with a winning time of 20.75sec.
In the 400m, Nick Leavey was third in a high-standard race. He set a personal best for the third week in a row with his time of 46.46sec.
In the middle distances, Ronnie Sparke moved down to 800m to come sixth. The 1500m saw junior Alex Cornwell finish fifth in 3min 51sec.
Meanwhile, in the 5,000m, Matt Barnes-Smith also came fifth, while in the 3000m steeplechase Sparke placed fourth.
In the discus, Tom Norman stepped up to ‘A’ discus action, and was a solid fifth. Carl Fletcher was fourth in the shot.
In the hammer Andy Frost was fourth, while Simon Bennett came fourth in the javelin with a throw of 63.09m.
