FIFTEEN Orion juniors braved the adverse weather conditions to compete in the fourth Essex League race of the season in Braintree.
Madeline Carr led the way for the under-13 girls, finishing in sixth. She was followed closely by Katie Inch (13th), Joelle Ewen (16th) and Tayla Abbott (17th).
The combined results meant they finished second on the day and are in the same position in the league standings.
For the U13 boys, Ben Patterson came in 10th, and trailing him were Daniel Richards (14th) and Andrew Davies (28th).
Georgia Tuckfield, for the U15 girls, came second, with Sydney Taylor managing an impressive fourth place.
For the boys, George Hoy was tenth, Matthew Boyce 12th, Cheyenne Antoine-Chagar 15th and Jack Waller 18th, leaving the team in second place.
U17 runner Armanni Antoine-Chagar ran well for sixth, with Alberic Hall in 20th. Auberon Hall was in fine form, coming third in the U20 race.
