STEVE Sidwell's move to West Ham has been put on hold, despite the midfielder having passed a medical and agreed personal terms with the club.

It is understood that the Aston Villa player is considering offers from other Premier League clubs before making his decision.

West Ham manager Avram Grant said: “I have nothing to say until the deals are done. But I like Steve. I worked with him at Chelsea, he never let me down.”

Sidwell has yet to sign a deal, leaving Grant unsure of the situation.

“I don't know, I am not dealing with the situation and I don't have any news but we are continuing to look at this situation,” he told Sky Sports.
