CHINGFORD squash star Lauren Briggs marked her return from injury with a superb victory at the Flowerbulb Open in Holland.
Briggs, 31, had been forced to undergo surgery on her knee to repair damaged cartilage and ligaments in September, but there were no ill-effects as she enjoyed a triumphant return to the court to win her sixth WISPA Tour title.
She defeated number one seed Annelize Naudé in four games in the tournament's final, while she also saw off second-favourite Orla Noom earlier in the competition.
Briggs has slipped down the world rankings following her injury to her current position of 80th, although a run of similar results to the one secured in Holland will soon see her back inside the world's top 20.
