William Hill have have made West Ham United second favourites at 5/1 to sign David Beckham after he announced he would leave MLS club LA Galaxy.

Beckham, who was brought up in Chingford, is looking to take his talents away from America for "one last challenge before the end of my playing career."

Fans aren't the only ones hoping Beckham will make the move 'back home', with former West Ham defender Alvin Martin saying he believes Beckham would fit in 'perfectly' at the East London club.

"He should go to West Ham," Martin told talkSPORT. "He'd be perfect at delivering balls for Andy Carroll. He's still got another year or two in him yet because he's not all about pace or athleticism."
