Andy Carroll is yet to decide whether he will join West Ham United permanently despite the East London club agreeing a fee with Liverpool.
It is believed the Hammers have met Liverpool’s asking price of around £15m, but the striker hasn’t decided where he wants to be playing football next season.
Carroll was the leading scorer for West Ham with seven goals in the league, despite being sidelined in December due to a knee injury.
And the 24-year-old has suffered another injury, this time to his heel, which has forced him to withdraw from the England squad ahead of their friendlies against Republic of Ireland and Brazil.
England boss Roy Hodgson has decided not to call up a replacement for the striker.
