West Ham United will be hoping recent history can repeat itself after being handed a trip to Tottenham Hotspur in the quarter-finals of the Capital One Cup.
The Hammers, who booked their place in the quarter-finals with a 2-0 victory at Burnley last night courtesy of penalties from Matt Taylor and Jack Collison, didn't actually know who they would face when their number was drawn as Spurs' clash with Hull City at White Hart Lane had gone to a penalties after their tie ended 2-2 after extra-time.
However, Andre Villas-Boas' men eventually secured their place in the last eight after winning 8-7 in sudden death.
The Hammers secured a famous win at White Hart Lane earlier this month when they secured an unexpected 3-0 victory and Sam Allardyce's men will make the short journey again in the week beginning December 16 as they bid to move within a game of the Wembley final.
