Jermain Defoe has again been linked with a possible return to West Ham United from Tottenham Hotspur.
The England forward emerged as a surprise target for Major League Soccer side Toronto this week but with the Hammers struggling for goals and their forward options limited, it has been suggested a return to Upton Park may be on the cards for the England forward if West Ham can make the funds available when the transfer window opens in January.
The 31-year-old England forward was previously linked with a return to his first professional club, where he scored 29 goals in 93 league appearances, in the summer.
