JULIEN Faubert is a doubt for tommorow night's Barclays Premier League clash with Liverpool, writes James Randall.

The French star (pictured) picked up a knock during Saturday's 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Chelsea, following a collision with fellow countryman Claude Makelele.

The 24-year-old has spent the majority of the season on the sidelines after rupturing his achilles during pre-season and has managed just two starts for the Hammers since a £6.1 million move from Bordeaux.

He will have to have a late fitness test ahead of the game at Anfield.

If he passes, then boss Alan Curbishley is likely to name an unchanged 16, although youngsters Jack Collison, James Tomkins and Freddie Sears, as well as John Pantsil and Henri Camara, will have hopes of being involved.

The Irons are tenth in the table but are only five points adrift of seventh-place Blackburn.

The club is still in the hunt for a UEFA Cup spot and could achieve that should they put together a run like last season, when seven wins from the last nine games saw them escape relegation.

However - although they beat the Reds 1-0 at Upton Park in Jaunary - the Hammers have not won at Anfield since September 1963.
