WHILE West Ham boss Alan Curbishley admitted there was little to take from consecutive defeats for his side, midfielder Mark Noble insists he will not let the experience go to waste.

The Irons were dealt a blow in back to back 4-0 hidings in the space of four days against Chelsea and Liverpool respectively.

But Noble, who came up against some of the Premier League's finest in those two matches, is eager to use the experience to his advantage.

"Now the emotions have gone you can learn from it," said the 20-year-old.

"You can learn from every game you play and if you don't learn from every game you play you are never going to improve.

"I have learnt a lot of things - I have learnt how to lose in a bad way and how to get over it.

"Hopefully that will help out in future years to come."

The Hammers squad sat down to discuss how to put things right in the wake of Wednesday night's humiliation at Anfield.

And Noble (pictured) admitted he was keen to hear what his senior team mates had to say.

"There are a lot of pros with experience under their belts," he said.

"I like to say what I think but sometimes it is good to sit back and listen to their opinions and what they said after a game you have lost 4-0.

"Your emotions are everywhere and you tend to say things you don't mean."

The Hammers travel to White Hart Lane tomorrow eager to bounce back to positive ways against rivals Spurs.

The clash comes a year ago this week since a 4-3 defeat to the north Londoners which Noble is aware that "kickstarted our season, my season and, if I can say, my career".

Then, the Hammers went on to stitch together an impressive run of results which saved them from relegation.

Now, the England U21 star insists it is the perfect opportunity again to go another run between now and the end of the season - and even mount a push for an unlikely UEFA Cup spot.

"As a team we have got to get ourselves together and know that if we play how we can do and put the points on the table, we can really push for European places," he said.

"Tottenham have really improved under Junade Ramos. They have put another dimension to their game, they are scoring goals and they are on of the best records at home this season.

"But we need to go there and play how we can do and defend how we can do.

"It is a fantastic atmosphere and game to play in. I have played there in three and they have all been really tight games and really passionate games - sometimes you get a little bit extra out of yourself.

"It is a massive game for both sets of fans and players and I am sure everyone is really looking forward to it."
