WEST Ham's Jonathan Spector will line up for United States tonight in an Olympic qualifier with Canada.
The 22-year-old defender flew straight out to Nashville after Hammers win over Blackburn on Saturday to be involved in America's qualifying tournament semi-final.
And the eight-cap star admitted he is excited by the thought of his nation reaching the Beijing Olympics in August.
He said: "It will be good to get back home for a while and it's always an honour to represent my country and the opportunity to play in the Olympics.
"We have one game left - the semi-final - of the qualifying competition and with one win we will have qualified so I'm really looking forward to it."
Spector (pictured) replaced the injured Matty Upson at the heart of the Hammers defence in the last two fixtures and will return to England looking to keep his place for the trip to Everton on Saturday.
And he is particularly keen to help the club follow up on the win over Rovers to dispell the memory of the previous three matches.
"It had been a frustrating week for us, losing 4-0 three times in succession," he said.
"We had a really tough week in terms of the teams we had to play against - games that were always going to be difficult on paper anyway.
"Obviously we can make excuses about injuries and the schedule but at the end of the day, it's our job to get results so we're glad to be back on track with a positive result."
