SUNDERLAND'S two Trinidad and Tobago internationals look set to miss the visit of West Ham on Saturday as they look set to be away on international duty, writes James Randall
Kenwyne Jones and Carlos Edward have been banned by boss Roy Keane from travelling to play for their county.
The club claim the pair are injured, but the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation (T&TFF) have stated that the club have not had the injuries independently verified.
They have now involved FIFA stating that Sunderland refusal to release the players and rightfully allowing them to use them.
The FIFA charter prohibits players training or playing five days after an international fixture he should have been involved in.
Therefore the players could be set to miss the clash with the Hammers at the weekend providing the T&TFF's appeal is successful.
