WEST Ham's James Tomkins capped a fantastic week with two goals for England U19s in a 3-1 friendly win over Russia last night.
The 18-year-old defender - who made his Irons debut against Everton on Saturday - opened the scoring in the 19th minute at MK Dons when he turned in a cross from Reading's James Henry.
He then scored from close range just before the hour mark to double the advantage.
Evgeny Pesegov pulled one back for Russia from a free kick moments later, but Newcastle's Andy Caroll restored the two-goal cushion almost immediately.
Tomkins, who turns 19 on Saturday, was withdrawn from the action soon after - on 66 minutes - before Hammers team Junior Stanislas joined the action.
