WEST Ham United's international contingent enjoyed a memorable evening of goalscoring action on Wednesday.
Matthew Upson capped a man-of-the-match performance by scoring his first ever international goal as England secured a deserved 2-1 win in Germany.
Meanwhile, Craig Bellamy netted a superb strike as Wales recorded a memorable 1-0 friendly win over Denmark in Copenhagen.
And Valon Behrami and Lucas Neill were also able to celebrate victories for Switzerland and Australia respectively In Germany, Upson was on hand to open the scoring midway through the first half at Berlin's Olympic Stadium.
Earning his 13th full cap, there was nothing lucky about the 29-year-old's goal.
Upson pounced in the 24rd minute, poking the ball home from five yards after Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper had flapped horribly at Stewart Downing's right-wing corner.
In the 62nd minute, Tottenham's Darren Bent missed a superb chance to double England's lead, rounding Adler before losing his footing as he attempted to slot the ball home.
Just 55 seconds later, Germany were level thanks to an awful cock-up between captain John Terry and substitute goalkeeper Scott Carson.
The pair waited for each other to take control of a hopeful through ball, allowing Leverkusen's Patrick Helmes to nutmeg the West Bromwich Albion stopper and slot into the empty net.
Manchester City's Shaun Wright-Phillips came within a whisker of putting England back in front, only for his shot to cannon back off the post.
But Fabio Capello's side did secure the win their display warranted when Terry made amends for his error by superbly heading home Stewart Downing's 84th minute free-kick.
It was Germany's first defeat in Berlin since 1973 and England's fifth successive victory.
In Denmark, Bellamy's 77th minute run and low shot - his first international goal in 14 months - capped a fine performance from a Wales side also including Irons' team-mates James Collins and Jack Collison.
All three Hammers' players completed the full 90 minutes in Brondby.
In St Gallen, Valon Behrami appeared as a half-time substitute as Switzerland secured a 1-0 friendly win over Finland.
The Swiss winner came courtesy of an 84th minute goal from former Tottenham midfielder Reto Ziegler.
Earlier in the day, Neill captained Australia to a narrow 1-0 2010 World Cup qualifying win over Bahrain in Manama.
