WEST Ham technical director Gianluca Nani is understood to be brokering a deal to bring Brescia striker Savio Nsereko to Upton Park.
The Hammers chief is close to agreeing a £5million deal with the Italian outfit for the German, according to the Times.
Gianfranco Zola's hand has been forced in the transfer market following this week's departure of Craig Bellamy to Manchester City. And he has acted quickly to identify a number of suitable targets after receiving assurances that the money from the Bellamy deal will be used to find a replacement.
Nsereko, 19, is unproven is unproven at club level, having scored just one goal in 20 appearances for his club, while he began his career in his native Germany, with 1860 Munich.
