WEST HAM midfielder Valon Behrami is upbeat about his rehabilitation after undergoing successful keyhole surgery.
The Swiss international damaged his cruciate anterior ligaments in his knee during the 1-0 win over Manchester City last month, but he is now looking forward to starting some light work with the club's medical staff at Chadwell Heath.
“I was told afterwards that the fans were clapping for me when I was carried off,” he said. “Hearing that just makes me know even more how special this club is and the people around it.
“I know with this support I can do my rehab work even better It's always a pleasure to see and hear the West Ham fans. They have been fantastic to me since I arrived and I want them to know I want to come back stronger and give my all for the team when I can.”
