WEST HAM have been boosted by the news that midfielder Jack Collison will return to the side in time for 'one last push' for a Europa League place.
The 20-year-old winger has been working hard to get back to full fitness after dislocating his kneecap seven weeks ago, and he has returned to training this week.
Collison is keen to get back on the pitch as soon as possible to help revive the Hammers' hopes of European qualification, after they slipped out of the top seven with a defeat to Chelsea on Saturday, while close rivals Manchester City and Fulham both registered wins.
“I've been working really hard with the medical team over the last few weeks,” he said. “I've had a lot of long days in the swimming pool and been doing lots of running and hopefully I'll be back in full training on Wednesday (yesterday).
“Hopefully I can have one last push at the end of the season. I've pretty much done everything and I'm now ready to go into full training with the boys. To make another appearance or two before the end of the season and help the team to try and qualify for Europe would be great.”
