WEST Ham United legend Tony Cottee has backed Robert Green to win the club's Hammer of the Year contest.
The Irons will announce the winner of the prestigious end of season award at the club's home game against Middlesborough on Sunday.
Speaking to the official West Ham website, Cottee said: "I think it's important to say how well a lot of the players have done. Normally you get one outstanding candidate. Robert Green has dominated things over the last two or three seasons."
The former striker believes that midfielder Jack Collison is a certainty to scoop the club's Young Hammer of the Year competition although he believes striker Freddie Sears and defender James Tomkins have also had successful seasons.
