AFTER a hectic season on loan at Leyton Orient, Jordan Spence would be forgiven for having a rest but the West Ham defender is already planning for next month's European Under-19 Championship.
Spence played 20 games for the O's last term in which he told the Guardian his time in Waltham Forest helped him grow up as a player.
He plans to use this experience when he takes part in the European Under-19 Championship in Ukraine this July.
The 19-year-old West Ham academy product has already tasted international football having captained the Young Lions during their successful qualifying campaign to reach the eight-nation finals.
Speaking about his month off, Spence said: "I'm going out to Florida with friends and I'll be out there for about three weeks, but just like any other time football won't be too far from my mind.
"I've already packed my ball as I know that will come out on the beach. I might even try a few keep ups. I just want to relax and rest my body as it's been a busy end to the season."
But he can not afford to lounge around on the beach too much because England face Ukraine, Switzerland, and Slovenia when the finals start on July 21.
