BARCELONA forward Eidur Gudjohnsen has hinted that he could return to English football with West Ham.
The Icelandic international revealed there was 'plenty of interest' from English clubs and said a return to England, where he made his name with Chelsea, was 'inevitable'.
The 30-year-old told the Daily Star on Sunday: “Returning to England is probably inevitable. There is a lot of interest from the Premier League.”
Speaking about the rumoured interest from the Hammers, he added: “I had a great time with Chelsea and Gianfranco (Zola) and I know the game inside out. I know I would adapt easily to the football there.”
Zola has been linked with a move for Gudjohnsen in recent weeks, and his addition to the side would be the second signing of the summer, following last week's capture of Inter Milan's Luis Jiminez on a season-long loan deal.
