WEST HAM have announced the capture of defender Jack Lampe on a one-year professional deal after the youngster impressed Hammers academy director Tony Carr during a trial with the club.
The teenager is the sixth player to graduate from the club's academy following Matt Fry, Tony Brookes, Oliver Lee, Daniel Kearns and Anthony Edgar.
Lampe arrives from Ryman League outfit Harlow Town, after establishing himself as a regular in the club's youth and reserve teams last season.
“Joining West Ham is massive for me,” Lampe told the club's official website. “Now I hope to become a regular in the reserves this season and earn another contract. I can't wait to start working at West Ham now. The move has come about quite quickly and I can't wait to get going.”
