WEST HAM midfielder Valon Behrami could make his long-awaited return to action in today's Barclays Premier Reserve League South against Birmingham City.
The Swiss international damaged his knee ligaments in the Hammers' 1-0 victory over Manchester City back in March this year and the injury has kept him on the sidelines ever since.
But Behrami has resumed full training and looks set to be included in Alex Dyer's team to face the Blues at Upton Park, with kick-off at 7pm.
Reserve team coach Dyer insisted it would be good to see the 24-year-old back on the pitch. “It will be good to have a couple of experienced heads in the side. Hopefully Valon will be back and it will be good for us to see him out on the field again.
“It is the best way to learn when you are playing with experienced players because they give you that little bit that, perhaps, the coach cannot give you from the sidelines.”
