WEST HAM striker Zavon Hines has been called up to the England Under 21 squad to face Macedonia in Coventry this month.
The 20-year-old has burst onto the scene this season with four impressive league appearances and a goal in the Carling Cup victory over Millwall, and a Three Lions call-up is just reward for his performances on the pitch.
Hines was called up by Jamaica for a game against Nigeria last season but did not feature and has opted to try to break into the England squad.
He joins defender James Tomkins and winger Junior Stanislas in the squad for the 2011 UEFA European U21 Championship.
The match against the Macedonians takes place next Friday.
