STOKE defender Robert Huth has been charged with violent conduct by the Football Association after an incident involving West Ham's Matthew Upson during the Hammers' 2-1 defeat at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday.
Huth appeared to aim a punch at Upson as players waited for a free-kick to be taken. Upson fell to the ground, while the blow also re-opened an eye wound, which he had picked up earlier in the game after a clash with Ryan Shawcross.
The Germany international has until 6pm on Tuesday to respond to the charge.
