WEST HAM midfielder Anthony Edgar has returned from his loan spell at Bournemouth after the Football League refused to sanction an extension to the deal.
The Cherries have had a transfer embargo placed on them by the Football League after they went into administration last season.
The rules stated that the club could not buy or loan players, however, the league relaxed the rules to allow them to sign Edgar on a one-month deal, due to the fact that Bournemouth were struggling to field a team.
Subsequent efforts to have the contract extended by another month have failed, and Edgar will now return to Upton Park.
The 19-year-old left-sided midfielder impressed during his time at Dean Court, making four appearances for Eddie Howe's side.
