WEST HAM manager Gianfranco Zola has called for his team to produce 'one of our best performances' in order to overcome Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.

The Hammers boss insists mood in the camp is high after they 'came back from hell' to earn a 2-2 draw against Arsenal at Upton Park last week.

Goals from Alessandro Diamanti and Carlton Cole rescued a point that day, and Zola is hopeful the team can conjure a similar display to their second half showing last Sunday.

“The mood in the camp is good and the Sunday game against Arsenal was good as we have been through all the emotions possible,” said the Italian. “We came back from hell and those kind of games can change things around.

“The players will be confident about that as they came back from a very difficult situation against a very good team. It will give them a lot of belief and self-confidence.”

They will certainly need to be at the top of their game if they are to take all three points from Steve Bruce's side this weekend.

“It's a game we will try to win,” continued Zola “It will not be an easy task as Sunderland are a good team in good form. It will required one of our best performances. But it is encouraging how the team is playing in recent games so I'm confident we can do well over there.”

Scott Parker will miss the game on Saturday through suspension after he was sent off for two bookable offences against the Gunners, while midfielder Kieron Dyer is the only new injury concern. He will be out of action for two to three weeks with a hamstring strain.
