Hull City 3
West Ham 3
Premier League
WEST HAM had to rely on a Manuel Da Costa goal to rescue a point against Hull City, despite holding an early two goal lead.
Guillermo Franco and Jack Collison had given the Hammers a 2-0 lead after just 11 minutes, but Hull hit back with three goals before half-time to turn tables. Bernard Mendy was sent off for hauling down Scott Parker when clean through on goal, and Da Costa popped up to secure a point.
Franco opened the scoring after just five minutes, Junior Stanislas crossing for Franco to nod home. And things got even better for the visitors when Franco turned provider six minutes later, crossing for Collison, whose looping header cleared Matt Duke and found the net.
However, Hull got back into the game thanks to a large slice of luck on 27 minutes when Jimmy Bullard's shot deflected off Carlton Cole's head and into the net.
Gianfranco Zola would have been keen to get his players in at half-time to regroup, but before they knew it they found themselves behind.
Stephen Hunt's cross found Kamil Zayatte who volleyed home from close range and the turnaround was complete when Julien Faubert was adjudged to have pushed Craig Fagan in the box, Bullard stepping up to convert from the spot.
Mendy then took down Parker after the break and was given his marching orders by referee Mark Clattenburg.
Then, with 20 minutes to go Stanislas' corner got stuck between two West Ham players and Da Costa took charge to lash the ball home.
