Carlo Ancelotti's Blues were edged out by Champions League hopefuls Manchester City, while they lost their winning streak at Stamford Bridge as Everton held them to a 3-3 draw last week.

Danger men: Where do you start? Frank Lampard and Michael Ballack pose a clear goalscoring threat from midfield, but the strike partnership of Nicolas Anelka and Didier Drogba is arguably the most potent in Europe at present. Anelka is enjoying the best form of his career, while Drogba is widely regarded as the most dangerous frontman around at present, leading the scoring charts on 13 goals.
