WEST HAM reserves registered an impressive 2-1 win over Chelsea’s second string on Wednesday in a game that saw Kieron Dyer come through an hour of action.
The match, played at Bishop’s Stortford’s Woodside Park home, also witnessed the competitive debut of 16-year-old George Moncur, son of former Hammers midfielder John.
Goals from Anthony Edgar and Olly Lee proved enough to take all three points, despite a red card for violent conduct for Manuel Da Costa, which will earn the defender a three-game ban.
